From the Pastor's Desk

“Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other….” Ex. 14:20. “…all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land.” Ex. 14:21.

“And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay!” Rev. 10:6.

Every believer who would grow up into Christ, must learn how to ‘get through the night season.’ The night season is a period of time in which circumstances don’t seem to look like they are changing or progressing in the right direction.

It looks dark, like the night.  It seems that the promises you have been holding are delayed.  You wonder why.  You ask yourself, “Have I been mistaken about the promises? Have I done something wrong to cancel the promises?”

God uses what we call, “delay,” for His purposes.  He is always on time because He has all knowledge and He is working His plan.  We settle our souls (quieten them like David did) and re-affirm what God has spoken.  Listening to Him, we gain any fresh instructions that we need and press on with those things or if nothing comes, wait quietly and confidently.

Nothing can prevent the Almighty God from His plan.  As the verse above clearly states, there comes a time when God says, “there will be no more delay!”  He chooses even to enable us even in the ‘night season’ if we will but wait upon Him.  We have to, ‘take the time’ to be still, listen, wait, and hear.  He rises in us and upon us to enable our success, for our success, is His success.

Trust Him ‘through your night season!’
