From the Pastor's Desk

“…but deliver us from the evil one.' Matt 6:13. “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us….” 2 Cor. 1:10.

Jesus gave the Disciples a prayer to pray and a portion of that prayer is mentioned above. If Jesus gave us that prayer to pray, it simply means that God wanted us to ask for deliverance and that He would grant us deliverance. There is no point in praying a prayer that God is not interested in answering…but there is great power in praying a prayer that He has instructed us to pray…for He will answer it!

The other verses re-affirm the truth that God is our Deliverer!  He has delivered us from the greatest danger of our lives—from the sinful state and lifestyle that would send us to Hell, if we failed to repent and turn in faith to His saving, delivering love and grace and provision. He delivered Paul, as mentioned in the verses above, and Paul tells us that we “set” our hope (our certain expectation) on the truth that He will in the future continue to be our Deliverer for that is Who He is!   God wants to be your financial deliverer, physical deliverer, danger deliverer, health deliverer, family deliverer, business deliverer, and deception deliverer.

Come today, to the Great Deliverer and ask Him to be Who He is!  Then thank Him for doing what He said He would do!  Your life is anchored in peace when you walk with the Great Deliverer. Meditate again today in Ps. 112. He is calling you to do so…. Be delivered!
