From the Pastor's Desk

“We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” Heb. 6:12.

“Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about.” James 5:10-11.

The Bible describes those who do not hold on to their faith and wait patiently for the manifestation of that faith as:  lazy.  In other words, they are not doing what God intended them to do and what He expects them to do.

We live in a world of “click and collect” and often, believers may be tempted to think, that every promise they have heard from the Spirit’s voice, is immediately manifested.  They may not stop to think that prophecy, (promises from God concerning what is to happen), is manifested not immediately, but progressively, over time.  As such, it requires us to persevere or to endure the time and the seeming contradictory circumstances.

You learn to wait successfully for manifestation by ‘staying close to Jesus’ and rehearsing over and over what He has spoken to you.  He cannot lie.  He is forever faithful.  Don’t allow discouragement (negative, unlawful, antagonistic-to-success thoughts) to remain in your mind at all.  Worship, sing, put the music on in your home, speak in tongues and get on with what you know you are to do…the harvest of your faith is coming!
