From the Pastor's Desk

“I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth." Isa. 49:6.

It is God’s plan to make His people a “light,” to those who do not know Him. How will He do this?  How will He use the people of God, the “light of the world” to bring salvation to mankind?  Light seems to have its greatest impact in the darkest places.  We live in a ‘dark time’ in human history. Perhaps, not the darkest time that will come on the earth, as redemptive history unfolds…however, anyone can see the darkness of our time.  In the dark, you do not see very well, and you are not seen very well.

The global population is struggling with all of its governmental and scientific might to illumine the path of life.  The fear that that ‘light’ will not come in time for many, looms larger each day.  Fear is also a ‘dark place’ to live, as there are seemingly, no answers to the endless questions that come to mind.  How many people will die?  Will my loved ones die?  How will I escape death?  If I escape death, how will I then live, having lost as much as I have already?  What business or opportunity will remain to enable be to survive?

The light that believers carry, is the light of their faith.  It is that ‘faith-light’ that overcomes all the darkness of this world. 1 John 5:4. We show the light through our continued health when others are falling sick. We show the light when we command supernatural recovery and people go home from the hospital…free to take up their lives.  We show the light when we enable others financial success by our generous giving and our release of Heaven-sent financial favour. One man had £60,000 of debt released simply by a command spoken…the debt was swallowed up in increase and he ‘got his life back.’

Let us be who He said we are:  The Light of the World!”  Matt. 5:14. When we are…who He says we are, the world can ‘see’ so obviously where to go….
