From the Pastor's Desk

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Luke 10:19.

“You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.” Ps. 91:13-14.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you….” Acts 1:8.

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Tim. 1:7.

So often in the journey of life, our minds can be filled with a ‘sense of weakness.’ Conditions of various kinds, processed by the mind, speak helplessness, worry, fear, and despair.  This process is often helped by Satanic input. What is important, however, in the time of trial, is what we decide is our disposition or our established attitude about anything that we face or hear about.

If God cannot lie, and He does not lie, then what He has spoken about us, is absolutely true. It is the reality that He intends us to subscribe to.  We choose to embrace, confess and act as though it is true…and in so doing it inevitably manifests. What we let go of, what we wonder about, what we doubt, surrenders our victory and success.  1 John 5:4 tells that it is our faith that secures our victory.

Meditate on the ‘faith stuff’ and ‘trample’ on the snake and cast down all the ‘thought poison!’ You are a ‘more-than-a-conqueror!  Be who you are!
