“For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: 1 Cor. 11:23

“For what I received I passed on to you….” 1 Cor. 15:3

The verses above reveal an important truth:  you pass on what you have received. You cannot pass on, what you have not received. Leaders realise that they must receive, in order to give away. 1 Cor 4:7 says, “What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” What is it that you have received?  Do you know what you truly possess?

Knowing what you truly possess, is firstly, a matter of revelation.  Revelation comes from the Holy Spirit.  He tells you have what the Word says you have.  He tells you to do what you can, actually, do, because He told you to do it, no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem.

Many ‘quit before they start’ in so many situations of life, choosing to believe all the science, all their negative history, someone else’s trouble or bad experience, what the news is saying and what they read on the internet.  They unwittingly live as though they have not been ‘given all things that pertain to life and godliness,’ as though they do not have access to the mind of Christ or the wisdom of God, or the favour of God…all released by faith…or simply believing that God has not lied in their behalf or left them out!  If God says you can be strong in Him, you can. If He says you can overcome, using your faith, you can.  If He says, you will have more than enough based on your faith and obedience, you will!  Every time we act as though we are not inadequate, but more than equal to any situation or challenge, we become who we are and we are using what we do actually have…what we have received:  the riches of grace…His unmerited favour.

Let us all speak to Him, and listen to Him, say what else He has given, that we may have neglected…and subsequently failed to give away. There is soooo much more!
