“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 1 Cor. 14:10. KJV

This verse tells us something obvious and something hidden.  If you hear a voice, and don’t accurately determine who is speaking, you can:  ignore it or respond inappropriately to it.

So often, we have ‘thoughts brought by voices,’ into our minds.  There are only three sources of thought:  God, ourselves, and the Devil.

If the ‘voice-generated-thoughts,’ that come into your mind, don’t produce righteousness, peace and joy, then you must discern their source and ‘cast them down!’  2 Cor. 10:3-5.

Often, I speak to believers that are, in their words, suffering from despair, poor self-esteem, condemnation, and fear.  A question to answer is: “Why?”  If you would not sabotage your own success and God certainly wouldn’t, then what then, is the source of those thoughts?  Obviously, the Devil.  He is called The Accuser, The Liar, The Deceiver, The Oppressor, and The Hater.  He comes to tear you down and tear you apart, by putting his thoughts into your mind, hoping you will think that those ‘spirit-injected thoughts, you will think, are your own thoughts. Then you will become pre-occupied with the ‘distress of those thoughts,’ thinking they are true, valid, and are your ‘reality.’  Having bought the lie, you lie down on the inside and let him drive over you again and again with more of the same. Struggling with the wrong ‘voice,’ you struggle with yourself and often do not turn to the One who  says He has a plan to prosper you and give you a hope and a future.

Recognise the Liar, cast him down and get back to confessing who you are in Christ, what has been given to you and the             victory that is already yours!  2 Cor. 2:14.
