From the Pastor's Desk

“Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law.” Ps 119:150.

“…the hearts of the people are filled with schemes to do wrong.” Eccl. 8:11.

“…in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.” 2 Cor. 2:11.

“Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.” Eph. 6:11.

A scheme, in the Bible context, is a “devious plan to accomplish the intent of the author of that plan.”  The world in which we live is full of schemes.  We are not meant to be ignorant but discerning of Satan’s plans and schemes. Only if we correctly discern Satan’s plans, will we ‘take our stand against them,’ as the verse above indicates. Satan always camouflages his evil intent to steal, kill and destroy with the clothing of innocence, purity, fame, blessing, and goodness.

Once a person has subscribed to one of Satan’s schemes, he is on the road to ruin, destruction, disappointment and unimaginable loss.  He uses all that we are so familiar with in this world, to ‘suck’ us into the vortex of his plan, the web of his deceitfulness. Our lives, our children, our health, our peace, our finances, and our relationships are always being offered some ‘new scheme.’

The internet, television and social media are always offering you the ‘better life’ if you but subscribe to what they offer.  Our children are also ‘fair game,’ as the government, social science and the media, plot their destruction. The school, its curriculum and its plans for ‘all-inclusiveness’ is an often-undetected scheme to indoctrinate children into evil.

Take your stand in the Word and on the Word of God and take the steps necessary to preserve your life and the lives of others.
