From the Pastor's Desk

“…you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.” Josh. 3:4.

Life is a journey not pre-mapped in the mind of man.  As Jesus said that He is The Way, we must continually look up to Him in order not to step out of track.

In natural terms, when you are not on the right path, you are disturbed, if you know it is not right.  If you are ignorant of the right path, you blindly stumble on towards some unknown destination.  Jer. 10:23 KJV says, “O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.”  This means we need help. We must have direction from Him.

It is our pre-disposition to think that we know how to live, where to go, what to do, and what to say in most situations.  Only when we get stuck, do we stop and consider… “Perhaps, I need to pray and listen to what He has to say.”

In this modern age we need more than ever to consult with the Holy Spirit.  We can only do this if we are “in the Spirit.”  One simple way to be more “in the Spirit,” is to speak in tongues throughout the day.  The Holy Spirit knows everything.  He can fix anything.  He needs no instruction manual…and He is our Constant Counsel for the entire journey.

Paul spoke in tongues more than the entire Corinthian church…if he needed it, we do more.  Let us consult Him who knows the way…every day.
