From the Pastor's Desk

“I lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip.” Ps. 121:1-3.

We notice in the verse above that we make a conscious decision to lift up our eyes.  Where we focus in our daily lives, has great impact in determining our success or failure.  If our eyes look inward, we scan our history, our inventory of wisdom and knowledge, hoping we have the ‘ready solution’ for what we face.  If we look outward, we seek the answers from other sources.  Sometimes the answers we need, lie inside of others.  However, our “first look,” should always be to our Maker and Creator.  The life we haven’t lived yet, will be informed and enabled by that “first look” that is always, up.  Notice in the following verse above that our upward look leads us to hear and follow Him who will not let our foot slip.  Our lives are not meant to be a series of failures but a series of successes.  We can only receive and sustain the life that is from above if we are constantly looking up.  Where are you looking today?  Turn your face toward Him.  Worship Him, beholding His face.  He is facing you always.  He is already waiting to give you the wisdom and grace for living the ‘abundant’ life in your circumstance right now.  If you are reading this, it is because He wants to give you the keys that will enable your forward progress in victory.  Keep looking up!
